For my last short film, I researched actors’ reels that I liked and felt they embodied my characters. I reached out to their agents and offered them the roles. That approach set up a great working relationship and they ended up being incredible and such a joy to work with!

I found a lot of my last crew through different avenues. I met my producer & production designer through working for Northwest Film Camp over the summer who brought a lot of the crew on through their own connections. I met my friend who did on set sound through the Portland Panorama film festival. You never know who’ll you will meet and where! I’ve met so many great people through the local networking events and film festivals who have become close collaborators. All it takes is one connection to open up the door.
